Quicksilver
Having begun life as a family-run business thirty years ago, Quicksilver is now firmly established as one of the region’s most successful independent removals and storage companies.
Our distinctive vehicles can regularly be seen on business parks and housing estates throughout the North East, and elsewhere in the UK and Europe.
Building on our early success, we have over the past decade developed a purpose-built home site comprising of state-of-the-art warehousing and office buildings. Whilst offering a greatly increased capacity for storage, including separate document storage facilities, these purpose-built premises provide the optimum in layout and environment control, are set in a high security compound close to the A69 and just a few minutes from the A1.

Security and Fire Safety
Our comprehensive fire and security system is permanently monitored by an off-site control room for connection to the emergency services by BT Redcare Network. This service is provided by a NIS-NACOSS ‘GOLD’ approved installer and maintainer. The system is supplemented by extensive CCTV throughout our site which is permanently monitored and recorded, and by mobile site patrols outside of office hours.
Our Archive Stores are equipped with a NACP30 swipe card access system providing enhanced security and confidentiality as our commitment to Data Protection.
All Quicksilver personnel are CRB-checked.

At Quicksilver, flexibility is a watchword. We do our utmost to provide the service the client wants, and for specific tasks we can obtain specialist vehicles or recruit dedicated staff.
Quality Service
We believe that investment in our staff is crucial both to the success of our company and to its ability to serve you, the customer.
Quicksilver, therefore, has a policy to provide appropriate accredited training for all our staff. Driving, office and computing training is provided in addition to our operatives receiving training in packing skills, accredited by the British Association of Removers.
