Environmental Policy

Quicksilver provides a comprehensive range of removal, secure storage and archival services.   We recognise that these activities can potentially affect the environment in a number of ways and we are committed to managing these effects in a responsible and effective manner.

As a minimum, we shall seek to comply with all applicable environmental legislation and any other requirements that may apply.  We shall also continually endeavour to improve our environmental performance, in line with other business objectives.  To this end we will regularly set documented objectives and targets and monitor our progress in achieving them.

In seeking to minimise harmful environmental impacts associated with our activities we shall:

1. Ensure that all fleet vehicles are maintained to a high standard and utilised in an efficient, rational manner so as to minimise our contribution to road congestion and pollution.
2. Seek to prevent pollution through the proper treatment and control of wastes arising from our activities.
3. Manage the use of energy and other natural resources in such a manner as to minimise unnecessary or avoidable waste.
4. Seek to maintain good relations with the community in which we are situated by avoiding, as far as practicable, the creation of any ‘nuisance’ impacts on our neighbours.

This policy shall be communicated to all company employees as well as to others working on the company’s behalf.  It shall be the responsibility of everybody in the company to ensure that the policy is applied at all times.
